Current Staff

Michelle Pan

Michelle Pan is the founder and CEO of the Palo Alto Students Foundation. She was inspired by a mechanical pencil her friend donated to her and organized a school supply drive for underserved youth in summer 2020. She founded the Palo Alto Students Foundation to connect the students and the community. She has created and hosted many educational activities for local students since 2020. 

Michelle started her community service as a young Guzheng (Chinese Zither) player at age six. She loves reading and enjoys nature.  

Meigan Lew

Meigan Lew is a recent graduate from Palo Alto High School. She joined the Palo Alto Students Foundation in May 2023 as our web designer. She was co-captain of her school’s varsity golf team and has experience teaching youth as she was a tutor for DreamCatchers, an organization dedicated to serving lower-income families in Palo Alto and East Palo Alto. In her spare time, she can be found playing golf and cooking.


Harvy Chang

Harvy is a sophomore at Lynbrook. He is the website manager and summer camp leader at PASF. In summer 2023, he led the Rubik's cube camp and taught over 20 students how to solve the Rubik's cube. Besides cubing, Harvy is also passionate about music and plays piano and trombone. He has won various awards in his 10 years of piano playing and has joined many honor bands and orchestras as a trombonist. Harvy joined the foundation in July 2023.

Hana Osman

Hana Osman is our student representative at Castilleja. She is also a member of our poetry contest committee. Hana is currently an 8th grader.  She led the middle school cross country team to  first place. Outside of school, she has a passion for soccer and loves to play competitively.  That competitive spirit, coupled with her keen interest in global affairs, led her to research and debate, where she participates in conferences across the US.  In her spare time, Hana enjoys spending time with her family, baking, swimming and, of course, reading. Hana joined the foundation in March, 2023. 


Veronica Chai

Veronica is our student representative, a fifth grader at Palo Verde Elementary School. Her hobbies are writing stories (especially fantasy stories) and playing soccer.  She also loves to eat noodles. She owns a pet bunny named Cottontail. He loves to eat watermelon. Cottontail is white with black/dark brown spots. Veronica joined the Foundation in March 2023.

Albert Pan

Albert Pan is our student representative, a fifth grader at Ohlone Elementary School. He has participated in many of the Foundation's activities and thoroughly enjoyed them. His hobbies include baseball, math, and reading Harry Potter. Albert joined the foundation in March, 2022. 

Emma Wang 


Emma is a 7th grader at JLS Middle School. She joined the Palo Alto Students Foundation in March, 2023 as the student representative of JLS. Emma loves reading and writing, and is deeply passionate about art. She enjoys playing piano/cello and loves sharing her music. She also plays soccer with family and friends in her spare time. 

Amelia Yuan 


Amelia is a 9th grader at Castilleja. She joined the Palo Alto Students Foundation in March, 2022 as our new Public Relations Officer.  Amelia was on the Castilleja Middle School Student Government and is a key member of the school’s swimming, water polo, and basketball team. She has been a competitive swimmer at PASA since she was 6 years old. She also volunteers at the VA hospital in Palo Alto to help veterans. She is an award winner of the National History Day Contest and The Tech Challenge competition. In her spare time, she also loves playing the piano, horse riding, scuba diving, and baking. 

Kai-Aden Wolf

Kai is a fun funny person.  He likes video games and Pokémon. He goes to Ohlone Elementary and is in the 4th grade. Kai joined the foundation in April 2023. 

Luke Lew

Luke Lew is currently a Sophomore at Palo Alto High School. He recently joined the Palo Alto Students Foundation in June 2023 and currently holds a marketing position with his YouTube skills. Along with making YouTube videos, Luke also enjoys participating in a wide variety of sports. Some of his favorite sports include cross country running, basketball, as well as being on the starting lineup of his high school golf team.

Past Staff

Nessa Tang 


Nessa is a junior at Loomis Chaffee School. She is the Digital Art and Crafts summer camp instructor at the Palo Alto Students Foundation in summer 2022. She is a member of the varsity equestrian team, and art club, and a part of the yearbook marketing team. She is an experienced artist that does crafting and digital art mostly. She has been doing charity work since she was in primary school, picking up trash on the beach and helping in nursing homes. She is also one of the founders of a Chinese charity that teaches children in rural areas. 

Sean Sun

Sean Sun was the CTO and one of the camp leaders for summer 2021. He helped update the website and partnered with the CEO to plan and organize the 2021 summer camps. He was one of the main camp instructors who taught music-theory and basketball, and was one of the volunteers for the Youth Present events. 

Sean was a rising junior at Palo Alto High School at the time of his service at the Palo Alto Students Foundation. He is a musician in the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College program and is an avid pianist. He also likes to code and play badminton.

Rachel Chen

Rachel Chen was a rising senior at Leigh High School at the time of her service at the Palo Alto Students Foundation, and the founder of the school’s Birding club. She was also part of her school’s Science Olympiad team and participates in the school’s theater productions. She enjoys reading and birding in her free time.

Rachel was one of our camp leaders of the Palo Alto Students Foundation Summer Camps 2021. 

Julia Lu

Julia Lu was a rising junior at Monta Vista High School at the time of her service at the Palo Alto Students Foundation. She was a member of her school’s varsity colorguard team and varsity softball team. She was a lead dancer in Monta Vista’s Korean club’s dance crew, and an ambassador for Generation She, a non-profit organization instilling ownership in women and non-binary people. She was a member of the National French Honor Society and award winner of the National French Contest. Since 2018, Julia had spent consecutive years doing volunteer work in China and Costa Rica. Julia was recognized for her work and was awarded the gold President’s Volunteer Service Award. During the pandemic Julia has been online tutoring for youth and helping her local senior community. In her free time, she enjoys biking and hiking with her dog outdoors. Julia was one of our camp leaders of the Palo Alto Students Foundation Summer Camps 2021.
